What type of experiences are your tourists and local residents receiving?
Due to the recession and the economy people are checking out what is available in their own backyard.
Are local merchants, restaurants and attractions open when visitors can and want to shop? My brother and his wife just spent an afternoon on a wonderful historic Main Street. Because of their busy travel schedule, they visited on a Sunday only to find most of the shops and many of the restaurants closed. They were extremely disappointed.
To provide that outstanding, unexpected customer experience it is important to be open when customers want an experience and want to shop. When all business owners work as a "TEAM" it is easy create a great experience in your community.
