“Native Plants for Attracting Birds & Shoreline Restoration”
Brent Hanson of Hanson's Garden Village in Rhinelander will give a presentation about native plants for attracting birds to your property … and keys to shoreline restoration.
This is a great opportunity to learn from one our most knowledgeable experts. Come and be inspired with wonderful planting ideas that will keep many varieties of birds coming to your property. Get answers to your questions.
Some of the topics to be covered include:
- Native plant species that are most effective in attracting birds
- Which species you should consider for attracting birds to your property
- Key planning considerations
- When shoreline restoration is needed
- The importance of restoring natural ecosystems
Brent is the owner of Hanson’s Garden Village, which he and his family have grown, to become the largest retail garden center, greenhouse and nursery in Northern Wisconsin. After 30 years as a practicing horticulturist, Brent has developed a passion for native plants. His nursery is focused on growing annuals, perennials, trees, shrubs and native plants. He is well known for his wide selection of plant material and his dedication to helping people start their gardens correctly. He is also known as a leader in shoreline restoration and is a strong advocate for the importance of restoring natural ecosystems.
We are very pleased that Brent will be with us and urge you to mark your calendar to hear Brent’s presentation the evening of March 20th.
Please bring a friend or invite someone you know that has interest in developing birding skills.
